Optimising your pages for search engines is an important part of managing your website. Basker makes it easy to add SEO information directly to your pages through the SEO tab.
1. Access the SEO Tab
To add SEO information, open the page you want to optimise and navigate to the SEO tab. This section is designed specifically for managing meta information to improve search engine visibility.
2. Add a Meta Title
The title you add here will generate the Meta title for the page. This is a critical piece of information, as it appears in search engine results and browser tabs. Make sure the title is:
• Clear and concise.
• Relevant to the content on the page.
• Within the recommended character limit for search engines (typically 50–60 characters).
3. Add a Meta Description
Next, include a description for the page. The meta description provides a brief summary of the page’s content and is displayed in search engine results below the title. Aim to:
• Use compelling, action-oriented language.
• Keep it within the recommended length of 150–160 characters.
4. Select a Meta Image
Upload or select a meta image for the page. This image is used in link previews when the page is shared on social media platforms or other channels. Choose an image that:
• Accurately represents the page content.
• Adheres to your branding.
• Meets the platform’s recommended image size guidelines.
5. Preview Your SEO Information
At the bottom of the SEO tab, you’ll find a preview box. This shows you how your page will appear in search engine results and on social media, allowing you to refine the details as needed before saving your changes.
