Adding page content

Updated over 11 months ago

The content on your pages in Basker is managed through a flexible, block-based editor. This allows you to create dynamic, visually appealing pages with ease.

1. Understanding the Block-Based Editor

When building out your page content in Basker, you’ll use blocks to structure and populate the page. The types of blocks available depend on:

• The Theme you have selected within Basker.

• The Template chosen for the page.

2. Adding Blocks to Your Page

To add content to your page:

• Click Add Block to open a menu of available block types.

• Select the desired block type to add it to your page. You’ll then be able to configure the block and add content to it.

3. Content Blocks for Standard Basker Themes

The following assumes you are using a standard Basker theme. If you are using a custom theme and have questions about available blocks, please contact your theme developer.

Adding Rich Text with a Content Block

Content Blocks allow you to add rich text content to your page.

• You can name the block for easy reference. This name is for internal use only and will not appear on the public website.

• The rich text editor supports multiple formatting options, including:

• Ordered and unordered lists

• Horizontal lines

• Various text styles (e.g., headings, paragraphs, etc.)

To access different formats, click the + icon at the start of a text line.

4. Auto-Save and Live Preview

Basker helps streamline the content creation process with these features:

Auto-Save: As you add or edit content, Basker will automatically save your progress. The auto-save status is displayed at the top of your screen.

Live Preview: To see how your page will look with the added content, select the Live Preview option in the top-right corner. This gives you a real-time view of your work as it will appear to users. You can adjust the Live Preview window to show a preview of your content at different screen sizes, including standard desktop, tablet, and mobile sizes.

By using the block-based editor, Basker allows you to easily customise and enhance your pages. For those using custom themes, contact your theme developer if you have any questions about block options or functionality.
