What's new in Release v4.8.0?

This release delivers incremental improvements to the website builder, platform performance enhancements, underlying framework upgrades and patches, as well as a range of bug fixes and usability refinements.

Theme Engine

  • New Liquid objects for referencing any object in Basker by slug or ID, making it easier to work with references and reduce the need for API calls.

  • Enhanced relationship lookups for templates that make heavy use of custom attributes.

  • Improved theme manifest performance, reducing the need to store block configuration on a per-field basis.

  • New high-performance API routes enabling easy front-end API integration without requiring an API key.

  • New preview route for themes, allowing theme developers to create style guides and preview theme settings.

  • Event references can now include both season and event handles.

Tessitura App

  • New dedicated routes for serving event images by Production Season ID and/or Performance ID.

Basker Admin

  • “Hide in Search” now available for several collections.

  • Optimized default columns and fields in List View to improve performance and load times.

  • Improved Site Tree performance when managing the site hierarchy.

  • Enhanced caching of custom theme manifests, boosting performance across the entire admin.

  • Updated default thumbnails for custom blocks, preparing for upcoming support for per-block custom images.

  • Live preview improvements — now supports more complex templates (note: complex JavaScript execution is not supported within the live preview window).

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue enabling the Elevent booking widget within dialogs.

  • Fixed display issues when using both the general booking app and standard ticketing apps together.

  • Fixed issue with internal links in the rich text editor.

  • Fixed issue with “has many” select fields in Theme Blocks.

  • Fixed issue with images in deeply nested objects.
